The indecent musings of miss doncaster 2007

By Annabel York

Meet Miss Donny.
Life hasn't quite turned out the way she thought it would when she accepted her sash and crown in Trilogy nightclub back in 2007.
No-one goes out any more. Tinder is shit. She’s just been introduced to the wonderful world of HR.
And she’s pretty sure her Dad is dying.
Things couldn’t get much worse. Until she sits on a Cactus...
Naked.

A one woman show with balls, heart and Yorkshire grit. Miss Doncaster is the most relatable beauty queen this side of the Pennines.

With a banging sound track, spoken word and dance, this one woman comedy tells a bold, triumphant story about how we numb, survive and thrive when all the odds are stacked against us.

Think and Hit are excited to present this new comedy, written by Annabel York and directed by Rebecca Loudon. The show is underscored throughout by Jacob Welsh and designed by Elle Loudon.

Starring Annabel York whose credits include: Mel, Splinters (NFTS), Carla, Glory Dazed (East Riding Theatre), Gwendolyn Fairfax, The Importance of Being Ernest (Immersion Theatre Company), Amanda, Private Lives (Headliners Theatre Company), Viv, Tomboy (Soho Theatre Young), Helena, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Rebecca Loudon Directing), Lara, Joy Division (John Gielgud Theatre as part of the RADA Festival), Holly, The Wedding Singer (The New Wimbledon Theatre).

She is also co-founder of the 1920s vocal trio, The Wild Tonics, who recently performed on BBC One’s TV talent show, All Together Now. Last year they had the pleasure of performing with Gary Barlow at the grand opening of The Ned, amongst other venues including The Ritz, The Sheraton Grand and The Burj Khalifa, Dubai. The Indecent Musings of Miss Doncaster 2007 will be at the VAULT Festival Tuesday 3rd February - Sunday 9th February, 6.15pm and a matinee on Saturday 8th, 3pm.
